Sustainability
Compass Hut was born from the desire of creating architecturally unique, sustainable, eco tiny homes. Starting with Barnhaus, and located on our family's organic farm, each tiny home was custom-designed using a series of renewal and sustainable materials. Each tiny home incorporates solar passive design principles for their local climate, and energy efficient materials. Each tiny home also incorporates custom-designed, hybrid, off-grid solar and battery storage systems (a key feature of each tiny house design).

Each tiny home was designed and created by the Bell Sisters (co-founders of Wagonhaus and Compass Hut in 2017/2019); including some furniture hand-crafted in Arc Pavilion and art-work displayed. Since Compass Hut’s launch, led by our passion for sustainability, Compass Hut has forged its own eco-tourism journey. This has included achieving Ecostar and Sustainable tourism Accreditation, participating in initiatives such as Sustainable House Day and more recently, measuring our carbon footprint - click here to learn more.
