Devonport’s new sound and light show – From Sky to Sea – illuminates the coastal city with the palawa story of creation of the Central North Coast region of Tasmania; reaching deep across the landscape to the mountains and the journey of the Mersey River spilling from deep within the central wilderness of the island, gushing down across the coastal, agricultural landscape to this city. A city that has been re-imagined and re-born on the center of the Northern Coastline of Tasmania; welcoming arriving and departing travellers on their voyage aboard the Spirit of Tasmania vessels that pass in and out of the mouth of the Mersey River where the patterned, illuminated hexagonal pillars are dancing in curated light and throw their beams in a magnificent light show.
